Gaming Price ("we", "our", or "the app") is a mobile application that helps you identify physical video games from photos and view estimated market values. This Privacy Policy explains what information the Gaming Price mobile app and the gamingprice.com website handle, and how it is used.

We designed Gaming Price to work without an account. You can scan games and view prices without registering, signing in, or providing personal details.

Gaming Price uses your device camera and photo library only when you choose to scan a game. You decide which photo is taken or selected — the app never accesses your camera or photos in the background.

When you start a scan, the photo you selected is securely transmitted for processing so the game in the picture can be identified. Photos are used for game identification and short-term diagnostics only — they are not used for advertising, profiling, or sold to anyone.

To identify a game, your photo is processed by our servers together with trusted third-party image-recognition and hosting providers acting on our behalf. The image is analyzed to read visible details such as the game title, platform markings, region indicators, and product codes.

Photo metadata such as GPS location (EXIF data) is not used or stored as part of this process.

To keep recognition accurate and the app fast, we record technical diagnostics about scans — for example: whether recognition succeeded, how long each processing step took, which game was identified, and any errors that occurred. These records use anonymous, randomly generated session identifiers and do not include your name, email address, or precise location.

A temporary reference to the scanned image may be included in diagnostics so we can investigate incorrect results. Diagnostic records are automatically deleted after a retention period (30 days by default).

After a scan you can optionally tell us whether the result was correct. If you report a wrong result, you may also provide the correct game title or platform. This feedback is stored with the scan's diagnostic record and is used solely to measure and improve recognition accuracy.

Estimated market values shown in the app are provided by third-party pricing data services. Requests for pricing include only game-related details (such as title and platform) — never personal information.

If you contact us through the form on this website, we collect the details you provide (name, email address, subject, and message) so we can respond to your request. This information is used for support purposes only.

Scan diagnostics (including any image references) are retained for a limited period — 30 days by default — and then automatically deleted. Cached game pricing information relates to games, not people, and contains no personal data.

Depending on where you live, you may have rights regarding personal information, such as the right to access or request deletion of data you have provided (for example, a contact form message). Because the app itself operates without accounts, most app usage cannot be linked back to you as an individual.
